Jo Wyrick picture from Stonewall DemsAccording to news articles published by the Washington Blade and 365gay.com News, as well as a news release from the Stonewall Democrats, Greensboro-native Jo Wyrick (pictured right) has been chosen to become the next Executive Director of the National Stonewall Democrats.

Wyrick has been serving as the interim director since Eric Stern stepped down in April. I covered Wyrick’s ascent to the interim position back on March 17, 2006.

Jo Wyrick is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, and a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Before Ian Palmquist and Farthing, Wyrick served as the Executive Director of Equality North Carolina.

Wyrick has also served as a field director with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

Hat-tip: Misty (thanks!)
