To the warmongers…

… including GW Bush, Tony Blair, Osama bin Laden, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Saddam, North Vietnam, the Christians, the Jews, the Muslims and others:

Humanity should question itself, once more, about the absurd and always unfair phenomenon of war, on whose stage of death and pain only remain standing the negotiating table that could and should have prevented it.
Pope John Paul II, the Great

This, in response to an article from CNN.

There are, of course, reasons for a just war. Sometimes war is just an unavoidable situation (but even that could be argued). I can’t think of one war today, however, that is “justified.” Of course that justification is only human. I sincerely believe any person who has ever started, supported, or taken part in a war of any kind (including me) will be judged accordingly by God. Violence is violence. War is death… “Thou shalt not kill.”

Unless God has come down and told a leader face-to-face to go to war there is no way God can bless or “justify” a war. I don’t know about the rest of the world who believes in the “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” but I for one know that I worship a God of life, love and mercy… NOT a god of death, violence, war, greed and revenge.
