Pride Charlotte festival TOMORROW!
Put together and sponsored by the Charlotte Lesbian and Gay Community Center, the Pride Charlotte Festival will be held tomorrow, Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Gateway Village in Charlotte. The events start at about 11am and last all day.
There will be plenty of great and fun things to do. You can visit the various vendors, non-profit groups and other organizations or sit and relax while watching some great performances. Odds are there will also be some good night-life going on in the evening, too.
I’ll be down at Gateway Village for a table for the NC Advocacy Coalition and I’ll also be passing out information on the Soulforce Right to Serve Campaign. I hope to see you there!!!
There has been controversy surrounding an LGBT festival in Charlotte in years past. I’ve posted before about the steps Pride Charlotte will be taking to deal with any protestors who show up. Hopefully, since the festival is on private property this time, the protestors will decide not to waste their time.
