New Email Address!!!!

by Matt | September 28th, 2006 |

Hi everyone… THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!

I’m changing my email from Yahoo! (because it sucks now) to Gmail.

My new email address is matt.hill.comer@gmail.com

You can still use matt@matthillnc.com (it will forward to Gmail as soon as Sue can change up the forwarding). I’ll still check the mhill2008@yahoo.com address but I won’t be using it as much.

For those on my list of contacts… I’ll be emailing you all from my Gmail account to let you know my new address!

Thanks!

PS - Gmail has this cool funny quote of the day thing… This is what I got when first viewing my inbox:

Groucho Marx - “All people are born alike - except Republicans and Democrats.”

  2. Matt,

I found this bit of ridiculous info from the new 2006 SBC Annual. A motion was made in your town of Greensboro this summer. Check it out.

    28. William I. Gay Jr. (NC) presented a motion: Refrain from Using the Word “Gay” as Meaning “Homosexual”

“That the Southern Baptist Convention refrain from using the word “gay” when referring to homosexuals in sermons, publications, and in the media. I would also ask the pastors in our denomination, and in other enominations to cease referring to homosexuals as “gay” in their sermons and in their publications.”

The motion was later ruled “out of order” by the SBC President.

Sometimes Southern Baptists are so over-the-top that you can’t do much else but roll your eyes. If the motion was allowed a vote, I’m pretty sure it would have passed….
