In the debate over the creation of the new NC State LGBT student center, all the anti-gay hate is starting to show.
You knew it would eventually happen. Some of them tried hiding behind money, but now we see the real reasons why some NCSU students don’t want the new LGBT Center, further proving why an LGBT student center is so necessary there. Such public and gross bigotry like this crap is just plain unacceptable in a civilized society:

Plus people that are gay chose that path and since when do chosen minorities get their own fuckin building. im mad that nc state was the 17th most unapplealing to homos, i believe we should strive to be first. Building a gay center on cause campus will cause more image issues that not. People come to NCSU because it’s not UNC. If you want to attend a liberal university then go there. Don’t come to a conservative school and tell us what to believe, how our beliefs are wrong and where we should spend our money. Ben Fisher
I just don’t understand there is a Huge LGBT center just down the road aways, It’s called the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. If ever you are considering suicide, or feel depressed becuase you are a LGBT go hang out at UNC where everyone is like you. Personally I think you came to the wrong Univeristy, who knows, you may even like it at UNC and transfer there, then the problem would be solved. I do not beleive in Homosexuality and consider it to be very unnatural and downright gross. However I will not show up in your front lawn burning a cross or holding a sign, if you want to be gay, fine whatever I really don’t give a fuck it is your CHOICE! Just don’t involve me in any way shape or form in it. Asking money from my pocket to fund this project is just like asking money from everyone who is enrolled at NC State to construct a Satan worshiping center. Ryan Jennings
They should have their meetings in the student center, not some special building. I’d donate a few bottles of anti-septic and plastic rolls to line the floors and walls to keep the room relatively clean afterwards for the janitorial staff. What would be discussed at the meetings, anyway? It’s not like it’s a Math club or singing group, I mean they’re a group simply b/c they share the same internal desire to be with the same sex, or become the opposite sex? I try really hard to see where everyone is coming from in terms of their opinions and experiences, but this is just outrageous. The ignorance and intolerance of these people and others like them is just mind-blowing.

Oh I just loved the “hot lesbian center” comment. That was lovely. They don’t like gays, except for hot lesbians. Nice.

Also, I *love* how Allen Paul (the guy who made the 24/7 lesbian comment) is a STAFF MEMBER OF NC STATE. *shakes head* You think it would be just at our level, but hate doesn’t seem to phase out, it sticks with people the rest of their lives and that’s what’s rather upsetting and sickening.

This infuriates me,people are such bigots sometimes. All the references to the meetings just being a place to have sex and the whole lesbian webcam things is just so insulting. And that guy’s a staff member? Anybody else feel sick?
