Davidson County marriage resolution
by Matt Comer, November 15, 2006, 10:03 am
The Davidson County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution urging a vote on same-sex marriage in North Carolina last night.
Not long ago, a Winston-Salem pastor was able to push through a similar resolution at the Thomasville City Council. This pastor, the Reverend Ron Baity of Berean Baptist Church, tried to get a resolution on this issue passed last year at the County Commissioner level.
I’m not going to comment too much right now. I’ve contacted the Davidson County Manager’s office and I’m awaiting an email of the text of the resolution.
More updates later.
