Most likely, no. My friend sent me info on Edwards’ “celebrity hair-do” and how his campaign picked up the tab for it. Like my friend, I am disappointed in his judgment on this one event, but I still sincerely believe that Edwards brings something unique to not only the Democratic Party, but to our nation as a whole. At the same time, I’ve also offered support to Barack Obama. In much the same way as Edwards, Obama brings something new and unique to American Politics.
I know I’ve spoken a lot about my support for Edwards and my psuedo-support for Obama, but I haven’t yet actually sat down to write out the exact reasons why I support them over Clinton. Being on the Equality Ride has certainly cut into the time I have to sit and do anything.
Certainly when I get back home, at the beginning of May, I’ll be thinking a lot and researching a lot on the various candidates and their positions. I think I have a firm grasp of why I support who I support, but I definitely need to take a deeper look.
As for the “celebrity hair-do,” however, I don’t know what to say except, perhaps, that this decision isn’t any where near the worst possible decisions a candidate or elected official can make. I have faith in Edwards… even if his campaign messed up on a haircut (like that really deserves to be an issue in the campaign anyway).

The haircut, in and of itself, isn’t the issue; it’s the hypocrisy of his “champion of the poor, Two Americas” posturing that the haircut incident demonstrates.
