Site design updating

by Matt | June 16th, 2007 |

If you visited the site at all on Saturday, June 16th, you may have noticed the site design being different or off just a little bit.

Needless to say, I’ve been playing around. At first, I was going to change the theme completely, but then I decided against it.

You see, this design is actually a CSS/HTML design that was meant to be just a regular old website. When I found it I said, oh goody! and said to myself, “I’m going to turn this into a WordPress theme!”

Well, I did. And it has worked. Until I ran into another Wordpress theme version of the same basic CSS/HTML design. I have to hand it to the person who ported it; did a wonderful job.

So, I’m going to forsake my version of the theme and go with hers. I’ll have some tweaking to do (like adding in the branding for InterstateQ.com and some re-arrangement), but besides that I like how she was able to put it together and, plus, it looks a little cleaner than mine.

I’ll be doing this over the next few days (some behind the scenes work on Saturday evening, perhaps on Sunday (but I doubt it because I have speaking engagements) and on Monday).

UPDATE: Updated theme is now live. I’ve got a few more adjustments to make and things to add. I hope you’ll like it as it does look just a bit cleaner and, finally, right and left aligned photos don’t mess up my paragraphs!
