GLAAD executive director to speak at EqualityNC statewide conference
Equality North Carolina has announced that Neil Giuliano of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation will be the keynote speaker at is state-wide EqualityNC Conference and Gala at Duke University School of Law in November.
According to a news post from EqualityNC:
Equality NC Foundation is pleased to announce that Neil Giuliano will deliver the afternoon keynote at its new statewide Equality Conference and Gala on November 3 in Durham. Giuliano is the president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and former mayor of Tempe, Arizona.
GLAAD is a national organization dedicated to ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of LGBT people and events in the media.
“Neil is a remarkable leader in our movement and we’re excited to have him join us for our first conference,” said Ian Palmquist, Equality NC’s executive director. “His perspective as a national leader, a media advocate, and a former elected official will be a great addition to the incredible schedule that’s developing for the conference and gala.”
