Carolina gay news site may have to shut down

A decade-old LGBT news website and newsletter in North Carolina may be facing a shut-down.

Operators of Carolina Rainbow News (CRN) - www.crninteractive.com - are asking for community support. In order to stay alive, CRN needs $50 by September 16, 2007, for domain renewals and other needs.

CRN, which requires readers to first get a free account on their site, offers varied news and reports, weekly updated lists of LGBT-oriented events and re-postings of action alerts from national, state and local organizations.

“Over the years we’ve never asked for donations, but many of you have generously donated your time or donated a few dollars here and there to help keep this Project alive,” CRN editors said in an email, “As always we thank everyone for their support and willingness to help.”

You can help keep CRN alive by donating just a few dollars. Contact them at crn@crninteractive.com if you can help.
