The delusional Iranian Hitler

by Matt | September 25th, 2007 |

Yesterday at Columbia University Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, “We have no homosexuals like in your country.” Get the full scoop here.

Delusional. Absolutely Delusional. Almost as delusional as some Americans who say there is no such thing as gay (a.k.a. some in the Religious Right).

Well, America… it’s okay… We just got “Punk’d” that’s all. Iran does have gays… well, at least they will if Ahmadinejad doesn’t kill them all.

Part One

Part Two

Part Three

Ahmadinejad also said, in response to the question about Iranian gays, “I don’t know who told you we had [homosexuals in Iran].”

Well… maybe we are all just imagining the flaming queers there.

  2. Gotta say, I’m pretty glad Columbia did give the nut a platform. Make the crazy man lay out his ideas in the light of day where they can be appropriately ridiculed in public. Not gonna be easy for many westerners to defend him as a world leader whose opinion should be taken seriously now, now is it?

The fact that much of the well-deserved mockery that he’s receiving, from both the American right and left, is due to his goofy statement that there are no gays in Iran just makes it more delicious to me, because it is also hitting American religious nuts who try to deny that gays exist. Right or left, this is a sign that the debate has shifted in the US - everybody whose anybody knows gays exist and deserve some level of decent treatment, and anybody who disagrees is now siding with Ahmadinejad. This is only good for us.

  3. I agree Casey! The way the American public is running with his comments is very indicative of the changed landscape of this discussion.

People around the country are thinking of their LGBT sisters, cousins, coworkers, friends, and teachers and think “No gay people? Yea right!”

    We do exist.

  4. See a tongue-in-cheek graphic titled “Mahmoud Dearest”, which has a little fun with the Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his unbelievable comments at Columbia University…particularly the one whereby he asserts that there aren’t any gays in Iran…here:
