Out and Proud in the NC Senate Race

Matt, have you seen this? I’m sure you’ll be able to offer much better insight than I would. Still, it’s exciting to see an openly gay candidate for the US Senate, especially from the south!

  1. One Response to “Out and Proud in the NC Senate Race”

  2. Yes, Brian. I am extremely proud to say that I am a North Carolinian right now. For only the second time in the entire history of American politics, an openly gay person has declared candidacy for the United States Senate.

I have an interview with Mr. Neal on Thursday for an headline article in Q-Notes. The next issue comes out Nov. 3.

Q-Notes will be offering in-depth political coverage of “eleQtion08″ from the Nov. 3 issue all the way through the elections in November 2008. Our coverage starts with Jim Neal and a profile of Senator Clinton. Then we’ll move on to cover Senator Obama, Senator Edwards and others before the South Carolina primary in January.
