Top 25 gay T.V. characters – Brian & Justin
by Matt Comer, November 30, 2007, 11:18 am
Oh baby… Awesome.
Logo and AfterElton.com have released the poll results of the top 25 gay T.V. characters of all time.
The list is amazing. Really. And they got good diversity, too.
I was ecstatic to see so many of my fav characters on the list, but most absolute favs were right at the top.
Brian Kinney, from Queer as Folk, ranked Numero Uno and his super-hot lover Justin Taylor ranked Numero Tres.
Awesome.
Time for a celebration dance?
And… by the way… I hope everyone realizes that I was like a freshman in high school when QAF made its debut. Yeah… I’m a baby. I know it.

Of COURSE the most popular gay character of “all time”* is a thirty-something-yet-still-single, drug using, alcohol-abusing, muscular, “total top” male who refuses to be monogamous. (disclaimer: I have not seen the last season, but plan to, please do not spoil. Film students care about such things)
* How many of those “all time” characters were from the past two years? I could go into the social commentary of that, but I like to keep things short and sweet.

Brian (and anyone else, for that matter),
Have you ever watched The Celluloid Closet? If not, I recommend checking it out. I think you’d enjoy it.

I have and I did. I prefer that film to the above-referenced list!
