‘Gay=Pedophile’ GOP activist seeks national committee position

by Matt | February 5th, 2008 |

Marcus Kindley, the former chair of the Guilford County (North Carolina) Republican Party, who lost a 2007 bid for State GOP Chairman and who publicly compared gays to pedophiles in the summer of 2006, has announced his intention to run as a RNC Committeeman.

In an email, Kindley states:

I believe we need a National Committeeman that has built, run and grown a successful county party organization.
Hearing about it, reading about, watching it is a lot different than doing it.
I have done it with the help of Republicans JUST like you. In 2008 we will need to do the same across our State.

I’m asking for your support in the special election to be held in Raleigh on Feb. 16 by the State Executive Committee to elect our North Carolina Committeeman to the RNC.
I believe I will be able to perform the necessary task(s) needed to represent our state on the National Committee and bring organization to the grassroots by someone who has done so through hard work and perseverance.

I’m asking you to bring to North Carolina a new beginning. Celebrate the Ronald Reagan legacy of conservatism and win elections the 2008.

I will appreciate your vote on Feb 16th in Raleigh.

Oh… and I shouldn’t forget his signature:

Marcus Kindley
Former Chairman Guilford GOP 2001- 2007
Member NCGOP State Plan or Organization Committee
Vice Chair Guilford GOP 1999 - 2001
Founder Informed Voters of North Carolina 2000- Present
Delegate 6th Congressional District 2004 Convention
Member 6th Congressional District Executive Committee
Member NC Republican Party Executive Committee

For those of you who are unaware, the national committeeman position basically represents the North Carolina GOP in the Republican National Committee.
