NC-06: Bratton wavers on LGBT equality?
by Matt Comer, April 22, 2008, 9:48 pm
I got the chance this morning to take a quick look at the candidate questionnaires for the radical, anti-gay N.C. Family Policy Council.
6th Congressional District candidate Jay Ovittore passed with flying colors. Teresa Sue Bratton — well, not so much:
Should “sexual orientation” be added as a protected class in federal law?
___ Yes ___ No X Undecided
Huh? Did she not understand the question? Or is she just pandering to the right?
Teresa… shame. The correct answer would have been “Yes.” Duh!

Should “sexual orientation” be protected? Yes. But all people should be protected. Under the law all people should be equally protected regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability and ethnicity.

Teresa… Aren’t you contradicting yourself now? If you believe “all people should be equally protected regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability and ethnicity,” then your answer should have been “Yes.” Were you just trying to score a few points with the rabid righties?
