Obama-Biden reach out to the gays

by Matt | August 26th, 2008 |

Ummm… not really. At least not this time. But I thought all the headlines around the nation announcing Obama’s Biden pick for the VP candidacy were a little hilarious.

On my last day at the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association annual convention in Washington, D.C., a couple of new friends and I walked our way down to Pennsylvania Avenue and the new Newseum, a wonderful museum documenting the history of the news-media from its early, prehistoric and primitive days to the age of the radio, TV and internet.

Lined up along the outside wall and on the second (or was it third? lol) floor were papers from each of the 50 states and around the globe. Again… the headlines and some of the photos were hilarious.

The coming out…the warm, friendly embraces — I think things are getting a little queer (or maybe its just the pink commie bastard, homosexual agenda-laden, liberal media).

Oh… and it doesn’t hurt for our fabulous dailies to have some fabulous visuals either…

…for the older set…

…and for the gay teeny-boppers…
