A Sunday reflection

by Matt | September 14th, 2008 |

A new verse for an old hymn (one of my favorites, actually)…

Come thou fount of every blessing,
Teach your children to love free,
Bringing in our outcast siblings, let us all be family,
From your love we learn compassion,
Your grace does forever lead,
Come thou fount of every blessing,
Seeing Christ in harmony.

Words: Robert Robinson, 1758; New verse: Matt Comer, 2008.
Music: Nettleton, Wyeth’s Repository of Sacred Music, Part Second, by John Wyeth, 1813
