Most, if not all, of my blog posts are backed up with plenty of links to supporting facts and verifiable sources, including my own past work and reputable news sources. So far, all I’ve seen about many of the details you claim in this “mob attack” is a WND story. No mainstream media to back it up? What about the “molestation” claim? That’s a pretty big claim to make without anything backing it up, don’t'cha think?

But, for fairness, perhaps “lying” was too harsh a word. “Misleading” applies a bit better. Where are your reports of the many peaceful, non-violent Prop. 8 and other protests? By only reporting on the few violent, out-of-hand protests, you give your readers the false and misleading illusion that all of the protests have involved violence. This isn’t true.

I can call you out for not providing enough sources to back up your claim. Fair is fair. And, for the record, I’m doing my investigation. I haven’t found a thing — nada, zip, zero — to back up your “molestation” claims.

At the same time, there is never an excuse for progandistic lying and misleading. Those in the radical right would now attempt to paint all Prop. 8 protesters as violent, “Christian molesting” perverts. Ain’t true a’tall; you can’t paint us all as crazy lefties. The ultimate form of scare tactic: Find the scariest, most frightening situation (that might or might not have happened) and transpose it onto an entire movement. “Thou shalt not bear false witness” (or otherwise falsely mislead other people) would be a great reminder right about now.

Instead of accusing me of lying and misleading without any evidence that I have done this, how about you simply doing some investigative reporting, and find out for yourself? If I’m wrong in what I’ve reported, then I definitely need to be corrected. What have I or anyone affiliated with Dr. Brown’s ministry done to make you assume I’m lying or misleading here? If we’ve done anything, please let me know, I’d like to correct it.
