I guess everyone’s noticed I’ve taken a little holiday weekend break from almost everything work and web related. It’s awesome. This weekend’s a perfect time to get your feedback.

Since I’ve re-dedicated myself to paying more attention to InterstateQ, I’ve noticed I don’t like the theme and design. It looks rather crowded. Part of that’s my fault, I know; way too much stuff in the sidebar.

So… my dear lovely readers: I’m asking for your opinion. What should be done? What’s some of your ideas for a new design? What about content? What about, whatever? Got some feedback, suggestions, comments, criticisms — fire them away! Comment on the post or email matt ‘at’ interstateq ‘dot’ com.

Some things on my to-do list for back-end clean up:
1. Clean and, if necessary, delete old, rarely used categories; start using tags more often instead of creating new categories.
2. Delete old, zero-quality posts (like in years 2005 and 2006).
3. Fix broken links leftover from switch from Blogger, and second switch from TechTriad hosting.

Some ideas for a new design:
1. I like the three column layout. It gives me room to have my 300×250 px ad space — but I don’t necessarily have to have such a large ad; it could be replaced by a 160×600 px ad). The three-column layout also gives me plenty of space for sidebar content without it running waaaay down the page. Thoughts?
2. Colors: I like the white. It looks clean and simple. I also love blue. The yellow — not necessary. Ideas? (Oh… and if you want to take a shot at redoing the InterstateQ logo, go right ahead — theme colors are based on that anyways).
3. Some themes I’m considering (remember, colors and other layout options can and will change with each one; my way of making it more personal): Simply Great, iEleg, Rockwall (already in use at MattHillComer.com)
