Joines to run unopposed for Winston-Salem Mayor

by Matt | August 6th, 2005 |

According to an article published today in The Winston-Salem Journal, Mayor Allen Joines will run unopposed for his second term as Mayor of the City of Winston-Salem.

No challenger had filed to run by the deadline.

In his first term, Mayor Joines has guided the City of Winston-Salem through great gains and losses. I would bet to say, however, that the gains far outnumber the losses. From the revitalization of Downtown Winston-Salem to the general growth of our city, Winston-Salem is doing well.

Mayor Joines is a member at Wake Forest Baptist Church, where he once served as a deacon. Mayor Joines is the third Winston-Salem mayor to be a member at the Church.
