Raleigh’s St. John’s MCC celebrates 30 years
St. John’s Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) in Raleigh, NC, is celebrating their thirtieth anniversary this weekend with plenty of fun, food, friends and family.
Of the many events held this weekend, the Reverend Troy Perry, founder and former Moderator of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches served as the guest speaker at the anniversay banquet on Saturday and was the speaker for today’s church services.
St. John’s even put together a special website for the anniversary: www.stjohns30.org. I think it is quite well done and very moving.
Congrats to St. John’s and I pray that the congregation continues in their service to the LGBT and straight supportive Christian community of Raleigh and the Triangle.
