The Sanctity of Marriage??? Gimme a break.

by Matt | August 7th, 2005 |

According to an article published by Q-Notes, the Carolinas LGBTQ newspaper, “traditional” marriage has dropped by 50%.

You know, if marriage is so sacred, please answer these questions for me:

  • Why has marriage declined by fifty percent?

  • Why are straights choosing not to get married?
  • Why in the hell do you make marriage out to be like some sort of screwed up reality show game like the Bachelor, the Bachelorette and Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire?
  • Why is the divorce rate so high?
  • Why are so many of the people claiming marriage to be “sacred” breaking their vows and cheating on their spouses?
  • Why do you tolerate those screwed up celebrity marriages that last anywhere from a few hours to just a couple of months or less?

The “sanctity” of “traditional” marriage? The “threat” to “traditional” marriage?

I hate to burst your bubble… but it ain’t us queers who are threatening your “sacred” and “traditional” marriage… its your own damn fault.
