Barney Frank’s PFLAG Mom Passes Away

by Matt | August 9th, 2005 |

According to an article on 365gay.com, the mother of U.S. Representative Barney Frank, Elsie Frank, has passed away. The longtime PFLAG Mom was 92. Despite her age, Ms. Frank remained active with PFLAG and senior advocacy groups.

According to the article:

In addition to Rep. Barney Frank she leaves behind Democratic strategist Ann Lewis, Doris Breay and David Frank, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

“She will be dearly missed by the PFLAG parents she inspired with her steadfast support and by GLBT people everywhere who saw in Elsie the true meaning of unconditional love,” said Sam Thoron, PFLAG’s President.

My thoughts are with Representative Frank as he mourns the loss of his mother.
