Colorado House approves partner bill

by Matt | March 26th, 2006 |

According to the Washington Blade, the Colorado State House of Representatives gave its approval to a ballot measure which would ask voters to approve certain domestic partner rights and benefits for same-sex couples. If the measure passes the Senate it will appear on the state’s Novmber ballot.

Both the Senate and the House are controlled by Democrats, so passage of the measure seems likely. The outgoing Republican governor will nto have to sign the measure if it passes.
