The EqualityNC Lobby Day 2006
Tuesday, June 6, 2006, 9am - 3pm
General Assembly Bldg, Raleigh, NC
From the EqualityNC Website:Is helping to achieve LGBT equality worth one day off from work this year? We hope you can answer that question with a resounding YES.
The far right is once again pushing to amend our state constitution to discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender North Carolinians. They want to make us permanent second class citizens. We need your help to stop them! Attend Equality NC Lobby Day 2006 this year on Tuesday, June 6th.
We’ll provide training on how to talk with elected officials and bring you up to speed on the key issues this session, then send you off for appointments with your legislators. A mid-day press conference and rally will get our message out to legislators and the state.
QCYNT (”q-cent”), the Queer College Youth Network of the Triad, is proud to by a Supporting Partner of the EqualityNC Lobby Day. If you are a Triad QCYNT supporter, Triad college student or affiliated with a Triad college/university, please sign up to attend the Lobby Day with QCYNT at: http://eqfed.org/equalitync/events/lobbyday2006/details.tcl?
Make sure that you put “QCYNT” in the partner organization box!
