Capital Pride fundraising update 2
by Matt | May 25th, 2006 |
Fundraising for my trip to Washington, DC’s Capital Pride 2006 (http://www.capitalpride.org) is going well since it started on May 23rd.
Since my last update on the fundraising and since the original post (where a full list of donors can be found), the following folks have contributed:
- Ed Cone: $25.00
- Drama Queen at BlueNC.com: $20.00
That brings the total amount donated for my trip up to $80.00. My ultimate goal is at least $150.00 and you can still donate by clicking on the MAKE A DONATION button near the top of the right sidebar here on the blog.
Thanks so much to all of you have donated to help me get up to DC. I’ll be leaving June 8th and will be attending an awards reception with Equality Faquier-Culpeper (VA) Founder and Executive Director Tully Satre. Him and his parents have also been kind enough to offer me housing for the weekend. On Saturday, June 10th, I’ll be (hopefully) participating in the parade and the street festival is on Sunday, June 11th. Our itinerary, I’m sure, is still being put together.
