In a pending settlement between the White County school district in Georgia and student members of a gay-straight alliance, represented by the ACLU, $168,000 has been awarded to cover the students' legal fees and court costs, plus $10,000 awards for each student represented in the case.

According to an Associated Press article (via News 14 Carolina), the gay penguin children's book, And Tango Makes Three, is headed back to the shelves in Charlotte/Mecklenburg County Schools.... at least for the time being.
