There is a group of radically conservative, religious right fundamentalists who are encouraging Christians to move to South Carolina and create their own "Christian Paleo-Conservative" government. They want to "protect marriage," "protect life" and adopt their own gold-based currency.

Barack Obama won the Iowa Caucuses last night with 37.57 percent, with John Edwards coming in second at 29.75 percent. Clinton followed with a very close third at 29.47 percent.

With 74% of precincts reporting, CNN has projected that Obama will emerge as the winner of the Iowa Caucuses. Edwards, who many had said would place third, is currently polling in at second. Hillary Clinton loses at third.
